Other medically qualified persons with Postgraduate Fellowships of The National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or The West African College of Physicians or Surgeons in other clinical specialties and with postgraduate qualifications/trainings (PhD/MPhill) in Pharmacology and evidence of involvements in pharmacology trainings and research including scholarly publications.
Full membership is a life time privilege for as long as the individual continues to show active interest and contributions to the development of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics.
Medically qualified person in use here refers exclusively to holders of either The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB) or The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degrees or their equivalents from other parts of the world where use of terminology varies.
Associate members shall comprise of the following categories:
A medically qualified person who is enrolled in the Postgraduate Fellowship Program of either the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West Africa Postgraduate College of Physicians in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics who has passed the membership (intermediate) examinations.
Medically qualified persons who holds a doctoral degree (PhD) in Pharmacology shall be eligible for associate membership of the society upon show of interest through a former application which shall be considered by the society and given approval if found suitable for admittance into the society. This category shall remain associate members of the society.
Associate members shall not be entitled to the rights and privileged of full membership as stated in this document including the right to vote or be voted for into executive committee positions.
Honorary members shall be those elected as a mark of recognition for their contributions to the development and progress of the society.
Such individuals may not necessarily be medical practitioners or scientists.
Industries, companies, institutions or similar bodies with an interest in clinical pharmacology, and who support or contribute to the objectives of the society, may be eligible for corporate membership.
